Ann Johnson
Makeup Artist / Licensed Esthetician
Inspired by beauty and fashion at an early age, Ann Johnson began her foray into the art of makeup by studying the colors and shapes of her favorite TV stars faces and duplicating what she saw. Her journey continued as she apprenticed with makeup artists and photographers throughout the country. She has trained with experts in the field such as Paul Thompson (Director of Education for the Makeup Designory) and Crystal Wright (Founder of the Crystal Agency for makeup, hair and fashion styling).
For the Piedmont Community College Film & Video Production Technology Program, Ms. Johnson served as an adjunct professor, teaching special effects and film makeup.
If you watch television, you’ve probably seen Ms. Johnson’s work in action. Her clients include ESPN, CNN, Fox News, CNBC, and MSNBC. She has worked with famous faces such as: Elizabeth Edwards, Cokie Roberts, Bomani Jones, Mia Hamm, Jerry Mathers, Zack Ward, Heather Matarazzo, Natane Boudreau, Dr. William Barber, Mary Katharine Ham, Juan Williams, Beau Biden, Karl Rove, John Moylan, Andrew Young, and Dash Dangerfield. She has most recently been working with Dr. Kevin Campbell on Fox News & Fox Business and the fine folks of the Miller Voice Method.
Ms. Johnson is also a Licensed Esthetician with a wealth of skincare knowledge. She continuously enhances her education and skills by attending various Makeup Artistry, Application Technique, and Esthetics classes throughout the Country. In 2012, she attended a workshop given by celebrity makeup artist Megan Martinez. Ms. Johnson was also trained by the Make Up For Ever Pro Educators in Atlanta when she attended the Make Up For Ever Pro Artistry Weekend. She has just returned from Dallas where she spent some time learning hairstyling techniques from the educators at TC Makeup Academy.
